Our Community Garden is a peaceful and welcoming space where people come together to grow, connect, and thrive. Set up in July 2023, the garden is looked after by a dedicated group of volunteers from Evesham Vale Welcomes Refugees (EVWR), including those we support and members of the wider community.
Located on Common Road, Evesham, the garden was created from the ground up — with volunteers clearing land, moving soil, painting and equipping a shed, and even building a greenhouse. Raised beds were filled, fruit trees and bushes planted, and seasonal vegetables and herbs have been grown and shared.
Thanks to generous support from Evesham Town Council, we’ve been able to create a beautiful and productive space for all to enjoy.
The garden is not just about growing food — it’s about growing friendships, confidence, and well-being. It offers people the chance to:
- Grow their own vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers
- Meet others in a friendly and relaxed environment
- Enjoy the outdoors and fresh air
- Improve their mental and physical health through nature-based activities
In April 2024, we held our first Open Day, and we celebrated our one-year anniversary in July 2024. We were able last year to offer some of the produce we grew to a local Food Bank too!
We welcome new volunteers and visitors. Whether you’re a keen gardener or just want to enjoy the space, you are always welcome.
