We are incredibly proud to have been featured in The Quilter’s Magazine in an article titled “Woven with Kindness and Love – How a Simple Idea Provides a Powerful Message of Welcome.”

The article shares the story of how Quilts4U group, began working with Evesham Vale Welcomes Refugees at the Sanctuary Centre in Evesham. What started as a small sewing group has grown into something deeply meaningful. A place where refugees and asylum seekers can learn sewing skills, build confidence, find friendship, and experience a warm welcome.

Through weekly sessions, participants create beautiful patchwork quilts, many of which are gifted to refugee families and children. Some quilts have even been recognised with Judges Merit awards at the Malvern Quilt Show. More than just fabric and thread, each quilt carries a message of kindness, belonging and hope.

As the article so beautifully says, real transformation often starts small — with a few determined friends choosing to make a difference.

We are honoured that our work has been recognised and grateful to everyone who helps make it possible.
