As part of the national Weekend of Hope, a group of Iranian and Syrian refugees and asylum seekers cooked for their neighbours here in Evesham – offering their hospitality free to express gratitude for the warm reception they have had here and the help and support they receive from this community. A delicious way of saying thank you! We were pleased to be able to share this edible bounty with many passers by and to have some very positive conversations to help dispel myths that are elsewhere in the media about people seeking sanctuary amongst us.
