What a great day we had at the Pershore River Festival yesterday. our crew representing EVWR, and Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan and Sri Lanka, came 2nd in the Adults Bell Boating races and were rightfully VERY pleased and proud of their success – as were all the volunteers and friends who stood on the banks and cheered loudly for them! These guys are just a pleasure to spend time with and deserve their moment of glory today! Many thanks, too, to Andy Train from Fladbury Paddle Club (centre of the picture) for inviting them to take part and supporting them to get a bit of training in. It all paid off. But next year, they aim to win!
